Exhibition in Dhaka

In November 2015, 20 of the 40 shaplas were hung from the ceiling at the EMK Centre for Public Discourse and the Arts in Dhaka. The exhibit also included 10 of Clare Samuel’s photographic portraits of garment workers, and sixteen “text pieces” which were coloured like the shaplas and depicted  the words of garment workers, with Bengali script by Nasreen Khan. Some 50 garment workers attended the opening reception.
